Father Robert Mitchell

Fr. Robert Mitchell joined the staff of St. Thomas's on October 1, 2008, as associate priest. He came to St. Thomas's from the Parish of Churchill and Cookstown, where he served as incumbent for four years. Prior to that, Fr. Mitchell was the assistant curate of All Saints, Peterborough, and priest-in-charge of the Parish of Bridgenorth and Emily for over two years.

A native of the West, Fr. Mitchell grew up in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, where also attended university. After completing his undergraduate degree, he moved to Toronto to study theology at Wycliffe College. In 2001, shortly after finishing his degree, he was ordained deacon at St. James' Cathedral, Toronto, and, a few months later, priest at All Saints', Peterborough.

While the official focus of his ministry is pastoral care, Fr. Mitchell is involved in many aspects of parish life.

He is married to Caroline Audet, and together they enjoy the company of their two adopted racing greyhounds and their cat.
