GUEST PREACHER, FR JOHN BEHR
Fr John Behr is Professor of Patristics at St Vladimir’s Seminary in Crestwood, New York, where he teaches courses in patristics, dogmatics and scriptural exegesis, and also at Fordham University, where he is the Distinguished Lecturer in Patristics. After completing his first degree in Philosophy in London in 1987, Fr John spent a year studying in Greece. He finished an M.Phil. in Eastern Christian Studies at Oxford University, under Bishop Kallistos (Ware), who subsequently supervised his doctoral work, which was examined by Fr Andrew Louth and Rowan Williams, now Archbishop of Canterbury. While working on his doctorate, he was invited to be a Visiting Lecturer at St Vladimir’s Seminary in 1993, where he has been a permanent faculty member since 1995, tenured in 2000, and ordained in 2001.

GUEST PREACHER, BISHOP JENNY ANDISON
The Right Reverend Jenny Andison will be celebrating and preaching at 9:30 and 11:00 am. on May 26. Bishop Andison was born in England and has lived in Pakistan, India, Singapore, and Japan. She was ordained to the priesthood in 1998 and has served in the Diocese of Toronto and in parishes in the Diocese of London (UK), the Diocese of Tokyo, and the Diocese of Ontario. She was elected in September 2016 and consecrated on January 7, 2017. Bishop Andison lives in Toronto with her husband and their three daughters.

Evensong Preludes showcase the many talented musicians in our parish and extended parish family while offering a time of quiet reflection before the service. Toronto writer Emily Sanford joins Exultate to explore the powerful bond between poetry and music. The concert includes a world premiere by E.K.R. Hammell based on Sanford’s award-winning poetry, the Canadian premiere of Jake Runestad’s moving new work A Silence Haunts Me, and music by Toronto composer and Exultate singer J. Scott Brubacher.
